Father holds his young son in the park

London • Hampshire • UK & Beyond

The small years, kept.

Family sessions should feel like a good morning out, not an appointment. I keep things relaxed, follow the children’s pace, and photograph what actually happens.

Some of my favourite photographs are the ones that happen between the “proper” ones: a toddler deciding the cake is better on the floor, a newborn yawning mid-pose, siblings squabbling then collapsing into giggles. I’ll get the portraits you want, and I’ll keep photographing when everyone stops trying.

Newborn and maternity sessions are unhurried. Fussy babies aren’t a problem, feeds and naps are part of the plan, and we go at whatever pace the little one sets. Themed sessions, cake smashes and milestone portraits are all welcome, and dogs are very much part of the family as far as I’m concerned.

Sessions can take place at your home, outdoors somewhere that means something to you, or in a simple studio setting. I’m based in Hampshire and travel across the UK.

What to expect

Relaxed, by design.

  1. Led by the children

We work around naps, snacks and moods. The best photographs come when nobody is being asked to perform.

  2. Home, outdoors or studio

Wherever you’ll feel most yourselves. I’ll bring what’s needed and keep the setup light.

  3. Newborn friendly

Warm, calm and patient. A fussy morning isn’t a problem, it’s just part of the story.

  4. Little films too

A short family film can be added to a session, so you keep the voices and the giggles as well as the stills.

Questions

Good to know

Where are you based, and how far will you travel?

I’m based in Hampshire and work regularly across London and the South. I’m happy to travel anywhere in the UK and I’m available for weddings and events overseas. Any travel is simply discussed when we plan your booking.

How quickly will you reply to my enquiry?

I aim to reply within 24 hours. If it’s urgent, WhatsApp is the quickest way to reach me.

We’re not very comfortable in front of a camera. Is that a problem?

Not at all, and you’re in the majority. My whole approach is built around helping you relax and forget the camera is there. Most of the photographs you’ll love are the candid ones, and for the posed ones I’ll guide you gently through everything.

Do you do traditional posed photographs as well as candid ones?

Yes. Natural, unposed photography is at the heart of what I do, but depending on the package we can include traditional posed and group photographs too. We’ll agree what matters to you beforehand.

Can we book photography and film together?

Yes, and it’s the way I’d recommend doing it. Booking both means one familiar face on the day and a consistent look across your photographs and your film.

What happens after we get in touch?

I’ll come back to you within 24 hours to get the ball rolling. We’ll talk through what you have in mind, the date and the details, and I’ll confirm everything in writing before it’s booked.

Can we bring our dog?

Please do. Dogs are family, and some of my favourite sessions have had a four-legged star.
